Hello & Welcome to weROCK, What if you could beat all your fear and insecurity and live with unshakeable confidence? What if you could plug into an unending source of peace, power, passion and purpose? What if your deepest hurts could be healed freeing up that part of your heart to love others more fully?Are these grand aspirations even possible? Yes. Yes. And Yes. Let’s face it – life is hard. But you can have a foundation that’s harder. This source of strength and encouragement is not found in people, places or things. You know all too well those sources eventually disappoint. Perhaps this is why God calls Himself the “ROCK Eternal.” Unshakeable. Unfailable. Unchangeable. Would you be open to exploring how He can be your forever foundation? How about the idea that He wants to have a 24/7 relationship with you? This relationship thing may strike you as odd especially if you have Jesus and religion all bundled up together. Religion and Jesus were one and the same for me. That is until this life brought me to the very end of myself. I hit rock bottom physically, spiritually and emotionally. As the layers and layers of how I defined myself were stripped away so too were the complex layers of my religion. It proved a cold comfort when my world went dark. The faulty foundation crumbled when I did.While at the bottom, I experienced Jesus at the core. Pure. Simple. Real. Some profound occurrences prompted me to start hanging out with Him more and more often…in the morning hours…in my big, cozy chair. This bored, Bible-blind believer actually bought, opened and started to read the Bible. As I did, I found true freedom. The more detailed story is here. Long story short? I’ve come to realize that authentic Christianity is not a checklist. Authentic Christianity is a real, ever-deepening, love relationship with its founder. A natural outpouring of this growing relationship is the growing desire to live and love like Jesus Christ.Now if by chance you’ve not received Christ-like love from Christians…here’s an apology. We’ve been known to really mess things up. Please realize our words and actions in no way resemble our awesome God. For ALL who want more peace, power, passion and purpose TRY THIS: Carve out some time to be still. Pull up a chair. Sit. Invite God in. Stay a while. He will show you who He truly is. Over time, practice His presence and He will redeem and restore you. You will be made whole in His presence. You will sense His majestic whispers… “I am deeply in love with you.” “I am always for you.” “I am always with you.”Sit. Stay. Restore. ROCKon.This isn’t a guilt-producing performance thing.
